• Inspiring Purpose Day Program is seeking highly motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for full time day shift positions (M-F) at our Anderson Township location to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on quality care, daily life skills activities, community building and integration. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will be responsible for working with a team to ensure the health & safety of individuals in our care.
• The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the program and in the community. Candidates will have a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.

Job Duties (A complete list of job duties to be discussed in interview):
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
• Develop a rapport with the individuals you support and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Complete all necessary required trainings within the timeframe given and per state DODD and county HCDDS requirements
• Support individuals of all abilities to achieve their goals following their Individual Plan.
• Supporting behavior management
• Assist individuals of various abilities to learn new tasks and support them as they interact with the community in new ways
• Provide timely and accurate documentation of services
• Reporting UI’s (unusual incidents) and MUI’s (Major unusual incidents).

COVID 19 Considerations: 
All staff are required to wear a mask, sanitize throughout their shift, and remain socially distanced as much as possible. 

Job details
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16/Hr with pay increase potential at the 90 day, 6 month, and year mark
Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday-Friday (no weekends with the exception of occasional weekend events, no on call)

Qualifications
• High school diploma/GED (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• CNA (preferred)
• 1 year caregiving experience (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of hire
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug testing
• Able to pass criminal background requirements
• Valid drivers license required (no license suspensions w/in the past 5 years and less than 6 pts.).
• Prior experience working with individuals w/ developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required.
